I was conducting a personal insurance review of an account with a client I didn’t know very well. She looked up at me and said, “Wow, you must really love your job.” That’s when I realized that the passion I feel about insurance and our company is evident to my clients. It’s either genuine or it’s not there.
Words of Wisdom
The first years are lean, but then you start getting referrals and discover very few people offer any customer service let alone service that exceeds expectations.
Career Choice
My daughters were six months and six years old when I became an agent. I was looking for a career which afforded me flexibility. I wanted to attend their school parties. As they grew up, I have been able to attend their sports matches. I’m a very self-directed person and I never liked always being told what to do — this is the perfect opportunity because the harder you work, the luckier you get.
