We're committed to meeting the needs of our customers and our employees. But sometimes the two are in conflict, to the point where an employee finds it difficult to balance work and personal needs effectively. That's not good for you or our customers - and that's where flexible work schedules can help.

Although the needs and requirements of jobs may vary, many employees have the opportunity to take advantage of American Family Insurance's alternative work schedules. You and your manager work together to select a work schedule that will meet both customer and personal needs.

Our flexible schedule options include:

  • A 5-day, or "regular" work schedule, which covers a work week of 7 hours, 40 minutes daily.
  • A 4-1/2-day schedule, which covers a work week of 8 hours, 25 minutes for four days and 4 hours, 40 minutes for one day.
  • An alternating 5-day/4-day schedule, which covers a pay period of 8 hours, 30 minutes for nine days and one full day off.

American Family also offers a variety of part-time positions, some of which include benefits.

Our flexible work schedules allow us to meet the needs of our customers and also help our employees balance their work and personal needs.
