"We just wanted to thank American Family Insurance for the outstanding processing on our recent claim. January of 2008 our house substained damage from a tornado. The claims adjuster was friendly and walked us through the nessesary steps to getting insurance money to restore our home as soon as possible. The check arrived quickly and we were able to get started on repairing the home. When all of a sudden you loose things you have , it is a comfort to know your insurance company provides a comfortable process that makes you feel better. "Our 20 year old son, Andy, passed away unexpectedly, September 5. The next day, a sudden wind storm dropped our new neighbor's tree on top of our son's car, my sister-in law's car, and our basketball goal. While I think it could be questioned whether there was any liability, nevertheless, American Family did all they could to remedy the situation and ease our burden. Scott Barnum, your claims adjuster from Colby, KS., was most kind and considerate. He made every effort to take care of the storm damage while we were weathering a storm of a different kind. If you know Scott, I am sure you would agree that you could find no better person for the job that he does. We have been very pleased having insurance with American Family for many years, (through Rhonda Knudson, in Great Bend, KS.), and look forward to being your customer for many more years. "On March 31, 2007 I had my Dodge Ram 1500 stolen from my residence. This is a nightmare for anyone and something you always think could never happen. However it did happen to me and American Family Insurance was right there to help me through the nightmare. I have been teaching Customer Service for about 8 1/2 years and have never experienced such a high degree of Customer Service. Every AmFam employee that I had contact with made me feel at ease and made this whole nightmare a breeze to deal with. The speed that the claim was handled was unheard of by most people I tell the story to. The follow up done by my agent, the adjusters, the claims people, were all top notch and always made me feel that I was not alone. I felt that I had an insurance company who really cared about me and not just my money! I salute you all for a 5 star job well done! Everytime I get the chance I tell everyone I can about American Family Insurance, their customer oriented employees, and 5 star customer service! "I filed an auto accident claim on Monday April 16th my first since being policy holder 2002. I was very impressed with the service provided by My Local agent Donald Muckey and his assistant Maryann, 7805 L St, Omaha, Ne. Casey Averett processed my claim. Steve Neeman assessed the physical damage on my car, found local parts which saved American Family and myself time and money. My car was returned to me yesterday Apr 23,07 all damage repaired beautifully. I am extremely impressed in your entire team effort totally professional. "I have had American Family since about 1960, until recently never had much of a claim but during recent ice storm in Springfield I wanted to comment on my insurance. My adjuster was very caring about my claim and it was very quick and efficient. I have heard of many people and their woes of insurance but never heard a complaint from American Family it did what it said it would do. Thanks American Family for being my insurance protector for all these years."

"To whom it may concern: On February 19th I was in Wisconsin snowmobiling with a cousin. He stopped very quickly and I was not able to stop and ended up rear ending him. The accident caused cosmetic damage to the hood and belly pan of my sled. I called my representative Adam Roethler first thing Monday february 21st and notified him of the damage to my sled. I also dropped my sled off at the local dealership. A few minutes later a claim's rep contacted me and collected all the information needed to start the claims process. Shortly after that I was contacted by an adjuster who said they would be visiting the dealership the following day. The adjuster visited the dealership the next day, Feb 22, as she said, reviewed the estimates, and paid the claim. I am very impressed with the kind of service I received from American family from my rep Adam Roethler all the way to Chris who was the adjuster. I am in the service industry myself and am always surprised at the lack of service today in most service industries. Thank you very much and keep up the good work."

"Pat Haffarnan, of Davenport Iowa, has been our Insurance Agent for the past 29 years covering both our home and car policies. Thankfully, we have not had much occasion for actions required by an agent but this summer he sure did come through for us. Our daughter was involved in a one car accident, and though she was not injured, her VW Beetle incurred about 4 thousand dollars worth of damage. There is only one authorized Volkswagen dealership in our town and this shop was a recommended shop by American Family. After keeping our car for 4 weeks, it became obvious that this dealership was extremely lacking in accountability, quality workmanship and any honest concern in regards to us, their customers. I contacted Pat, he met us there at the dealership, stood up for us, told the manager the situation was unacceptable for his clients and stuck with us for the following, almost 4 additional, weeks that it took to make the repairs correctly. In an age where people go on line to by car insurance over the web, I wonder what we would have done without our agent diligent and proactive concern for our care. Though we have always been your loyal customers, this incident has certainly made a believer out of us and has also shown our 2 grown children the difference between a great insurance agent like Pat Haffarnan and just any car insurance policy. "I signed up with American Family when I was no longer on my parents insurance. That was earlier this year. From the moment I met with my local agent, I realized I had chosen the right company. They never treated me like a number or another customer, but as someone they truly cared about. Today, my feelings were confirmed. I was in an accident this morning-my first one ever, so obviously I was quite shaken up. When I could not get a hold of my parents, I immediately called my agent and the office staff was so kind to me and walked me through exactly what I needed to do. I was crying, and they were able to calm me down. I will NEVER switch to another company, and I am so happy AMFAM came to Washington! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!"

"My American Family Agent is Heath Watkins who is located in Galion, OH. I feel his staff is dedicated to superior customer service. I have not had a claim with American Family but I feel confident that I would not have any problems resolving one. I think Heath goes above and beyond what is probably expected and I have recommended him to several friends and family members. I'm guessing there aren't too many agents who send out personalized Christmas cards or call to wish you a happy birthday but that is just a couple of the things that Heath does to show he cares about you as an individual, not just an ordinary customer. "I recently moved to Indiana and was fortunate to select Torry Hamilton as my agent. He encouraged me to sit down with him to review my policy. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. As a result of our meeting, I decided to sign up for the Road Side Assistance and Rental Replacement. Within a few months of my move, I experienced a tire blow-out. Being new to the area, I was unfamiliar with local business and wanted a recommendation for a reputable place. Being a native of the area, Mr. Hamilton was extremely helpful in navigating vendors and getting my tire replaced; he made all the calls for me, took care of everything, and even had the check for the tow replacement available the next day. And if that wasn't enough, he volunteered to come get me to give me a ride into work! Mr. Hamilton has gone above and beyond and has impressed me more in a month than any agent within my eight years with American Family Insurance. It's obvious that this is simply how he runs his business and does this for all his clients. He certainly cares about his clients, and I am thoroughly grateful for his dedication and service."
