American Family Insurance protects dreams by helping strengthen and support individuals, families, neighborhoods and communities. Every year, our Corporate Giving Program provides more than $2.5 million in contributions and countless hours of volunteer work to nonprofit, charitable and community organizations throughout our 19 operating states. We also sponsor events and activities that build stronger ties with customers through memorable, beneficial experiences.

Q: Do you support general operating expenses?
A: Our program does fund general operating expenses, but we tend to do more specific program support.
Q: Do you provide individual scholarships to students entering college?
A: We do not have a scholarship program for students entering college.
At American Family Insurance, we're in the business of helping those in need. That's why we give back to communities through our support of organizations that help others. The highest percentage of our corporate contributions goes to United Way chapters, whose member agencies have a proven record of helping individuals, families and communities. We also support employee and agent United Way pledge drives throughout the year.
American Family Insurance places a high priority on helping others when it comes to housing, food and shelter. This is why we support organizations like Neighborhood Housing Services, the American Red Cross and Second Harvest Foodbank.
American Family Insurance values programs that help youth and provide educational opportunities for an increasingly diverse population. Our support includes funding youth resource centers, after-school programs, neighborhood centers, programs for at-risk children and mentoring projects. American Family also sponsors high school athletic events in connection with our Teen Safe Driver program.
American Family Insurance helps strengthen communities through its support for the arts and cultural activities. In particular, we finance, sponsor and provide volunteers for events that celebrate diversity. After all, dreams come in many shapes, sizes and colors, so it's no surprise that we're strongly committed to protecting and preserving them.
Building healthy communities is in everyone's best interest, including ours! American Family Insurance supports agencies that provide assistance, education, research and hope for people suffering from health challenges, such as cancer, heart disease, breast cancer, lung disease, diabetes and AIDS.
