Driver Safety Tips - Feeling Drowsy

If you're drowsy, you can skim a magazine, watch television or do a crossword puzzle. In fact, you can probably do a lot of things while you're drowsy - but driving definitely should not be one of them.

Unfortunately, many people do get behind the wheel when they're sleepy. In fact, drowsy drivers cause at least 100,000 crashes annually, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

To avoid becoming a statistic, don't drive if you're feeling particularly tired. Instead, use a "designated awake driver" to get you where you're going. You'll be doing a big favor for yourself - and other people on the road.
