Madison, Wis. (May 23, 2013) – Telisa Yancy, who has served the past four years as American Family Insurance's director of brand, advertising and media, is the company's new vice president of marketing. The company's board of directors recently elected Yancy to the officer position.
Yancy brings 23 years of marketing experience to her new role. She joined American Family in 2009 after serving in marketing leadership positions at several companies, including Ford Motor Company and Burger King Corporation.
"Telisa brings a consistent, strong track record of success, and her leadership will help take our marketing and branding forward in new and focused ways," said Gerry Benusa, executive vice president. "She has demonstrated innovation and creativity in re-energizing our brand with the unique messaging in our Dreams Protected marketing initiatives, leveraging consumer insights and marketplace intelligence to help drive growth."
Yancy succeeds Annette Knapstein, who retired. Yancy earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University.
