Auto & Home Premium Advantage – In some states, if you insure both your home and auto with American Family Insurance, this discount may reduce your auto premium.
Auto & Life Discount - If you or any of your household family members have both auto and life insurance policies with American Family Insurance and American Family Life Insurance Company, you could save on your auto insurance premiums.

Accident-Free or Good Driver Discount - In some states, if you’ve insured your vehicle with American Family for at least three consecutive years without an accident, you may be eligible for this discount.
Air Bag Discount - If your private passenger vehicle is equipped with factory-installed air bags, you could be eligible for further savings.
Defensive Driver Discount – Drivers of a specific age who have taken a defensive driving course may be eligible for this discount in certain states.
EarlyBird Discount - Auto customers who hold an active policy with another carrier and purchase a policy with us at least seven days before it goes into effect might be eligible for this discount.
Good Driver Discount – Drivers without accidents, violations or claims may be eligible for a premium reduction.
Good Student Discount - Doing well in school brings about lots of advantages in life. In some cases, it could mean a Good Student Discount on auto insurance premiums.
Multiple Vehicle Discount - If you insure more than one vehicle with American Family, you may qualify for a reduced auto insurance premium on your cars and trucks.
Change Insurers and Save - If you come to American Family from one of our specified competitors, you may be eligible for a reduced premium.
TimeAway Discount - This discount is designed for existing customers with drivers up to 24 years old, who attend school without the insured vehicles and are 100 or more miles away from their homes.

Age of Customer Discount – Discounts may apply to new or existing policies starting at age 50 for homeowners and renters, and age 60 for condo owners.
Claims-Free Discount – If you haven’t had any chargeable claims for at least five years, your homeowners insurance may be eligible for a reduction.
Customer Longevity Discount – If you've insured your home with American Family for at least five years, you could qualify for a reduced premium.
Home Purchase Discount – You may qualify for a discount if you purchased your home within the last three years, regardless of its age.
Home Security & Fire Protection Discount – If your home is equipped with a qualifying smoke/fire alarm system, a burglar alarm or an automatic sprinkler system, you may receive a discount.
Impact-Resistant Hail Roofing Discount - In some states, if your home has an impact-resistant roof meeting specific criteria, you may be eligible for a discount on your homeowners insurance.
New Home Discount – You may be eligible for a discount based on the age of your home and the year you first occupied it. (In Minnesota, you may qualify for an Electrical System Discount instead.)
Welcome Home Discount – New home customers may qualify for a discount on coverage for primary and secondary homes that are five years old or less.
