If you’re planning a trip to Mexico and need auto insurance, we can help. American Family has contracted with a vendor to offer quotes and policies for Mexico auto insurance. (Such coverage is not provided on American Family auto policies.)
American Family Insurance has contracted with a vendor to offer you Mexico auto insurance quotes and policies. Since auto insurance policies issued and underwritten by American Family Insurance do not provide coverage for vehicles operated in Mexico, this service is available when you travel your vehicle across the United States/Mexico border.
The Mexico auto insurance program and online quoting site is provided by International Insurance Group, Inc. (IIG) and is subject to their information security policies. The policies being offered through the Mexico auto insurance program are underwritten by one of the following:1
- ACE Seguros, S.A. de C.V
- Grupo Nacional Provincial
- GE Seguros
Before starting, please have your current auto insurance company name and policy number on hand. If you are a current American Family Insurance auto policyholder, please enter your American Family Insurance policy number when requested. This allows us to recognize you as an existing customer and notify your current American Family Insurance agent of your purchase. If we cannot match the policy number provided we will assign your Mexico auto policy to the closest agent.
