5 Signs You’re a Motorcycle Person

Do you dream of hitting the open road but not sure if a motorcycle is for you? Here’s how to know it’s time to put your two-wheeled dreams into motion.

The wind in your hair, the roar of the engine, the freedom of the open road — there’s so much to love about owning a motorcycle. But still not sure if you’re ready to join the biker nation? Here are some signs that it’s time to put your two-wheeled dreams into motion.

You enjoy the thrill. If activities like cliff jumping, cage diving or hitting every major rollercoaster in the U.S. make your bucket list, odds are you’re a thrill seeker. And what better way to quench your thirst for thrills than by hopping on a motorcycle and driving off into the sunset? It’s actually a relatively safe way to get your kicks.

You’re a penny pincher. Though the upfront cost of a bike might seem a little high, you’ll likely save money in the long run. Motorcycles are more fuel efficient, less costly to repair and often come with a cheaper price tag on insurance than cars. Smart!

You put safety first. Many people think bikers are rebellious or reckless, but they’re actually some of the savviest drivers on the road. So, if you’re generally a defensive driver and tend to make safety a priority, you’d probably make a great motorcyclist.

You pack light. If you’re responsible for getting the kids to and from school or need to transport a lot of equipment for work, a motorcycle may not be a smart decision. But if you pack light and only need to get yourself around, you’re ready to hit the road!

You live for adventure. If you ever get lost on purpose or spend your weekends taking road trips to destinations off the beaten path, a motorcycle might be the perfect addition to your lifestyle. There’s nothing like exploring the countryside or experiencing some place new from the seat of a bike.

So, what’re you waiting for? The open road awaits!
