Heading to the American Family Insurance Championship? The following FAQs can answer your questions about purchasing tickets, figuring out where to park and everything in between. Check them out and you’ll be set for a successful day at the course.


  1. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, and in collaboration with the PGA TOUR Champions, we have made the decision to cancel the American Family Insurance Championship scheduled for May 30-June 7, 2020. Read the full statement here >

Ticket FAQs

  1. Tickets for the 2021 American Family Insurance Championship and Little Big Town concert can be purchased here. Tickets can also be purchased by phone: 608-246-4277 or in person: The Duck Pond, Mallards Box Office, 2920 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin (office hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm).

  2. Military tickets are available for Active Duty, Military Reserve, National Guard, Military Retirees and Veterans. Click here to verify your service and claim your tickets. Tickets valid for golf only.

  3. Golf

    • Adult Ticket (ages 16-49) - $20 before May 1 ($25 after May 1)
    • Champion Ticket (ages 50 and older) - $15 before May 1 ($20 after May 1)
    • Youth Ticket (Ages 15 and under) - Free with purchase of adult ticket.
    • Military Ticket - Free (SheerID will charge a $1 verification fee)

    *All prices are for valid any one day general admission tickets.

    *Gold circle tickets allow patrons access to a special area closest to the stage.

  4. All taxes and fees are included in the ticket price for print at home and/or will call ticket options.

  8. Yes. Will Call will be located just outside the main entry gate at the tournament. A photo ID will be required to pick up tickets.

    There will also be a will call Friday, June 11 for concert tickets at Breese Stevens Field.

  9. Chalets, Skyboxes and Club Strick premium seating options are available on the 17th Green and 18th Green.

Spectator FAQs

  1. PGA TOUR Champions players will visit Hy-Vee Autograph Alley — between the 9th and 18th green - before and/or after play to sign autographs for fans. This allows fans the opportunity to meet their favorite players as autographs are not allowed on the course during tournament competition days. Please be respectful of each player when requesting an autograph.
  2. Bleacher seating, with accessibility access, will be available to spectators on the 1st tee, 14th green and 18 tee. Bleachers will be located at the 1st tee, 14th green, 15th tee, 17th green and 18th green. The Leinie Lodge located on the 17th green has public seating and concessions along with the Alliant Energy Fan Pavilion on the 9th green.
  3. Spectators will be allowed to carry mobile devices on the golf course with the volume setting on silent or vibrate. Devices may be used to capture video, audio and photos (content) throughout tournament week. Content may be used for personal purposes only; no commercial use. There can be no live streaming or real-time coverage. Please be respectful of play and do not interfere with players, caddies or media. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the revocation of your ticket.

  5. Little Big Town will take the stage to perform hits from their storied 20-plus-year country music career, as the concert headliner at Madison’s Breese Stevens field on Friday, June 11, 2021 with opening act BoDeans. The event will help kick-off weekend play of the PGA TOUR Champions American Family Insurance Championship and raise money for various charities.

  6. There will be numerous concession stands, open to the public, located throughout the golf course serving a variety of items. Visit the Alliant Energy Pavilion next to the Clubhouse or the Leinie Lodge at number 17 green. Other options include near the 2nd tee, 6th green, and behind 14 green. No outside food and beverage can be brought into the tournament grounds.
  7. Culver’s Kids’ Zone is an interactive play area where children can take a break from the golf action and play, dream and build. Anchored by the popular, life-sized, Big Blue Blocks, kids can also test out their golf skills with the putting challenge and driving range. Other activities included are Bean Bag Toss, Lawn Bowling and a fun photo opportunity. Check off your adventures in the Culver’s Passport with a volunteer at the Zone and receive a Culver’s Value Meal Coupon! The Culver’s Kids Zone is free for children (15 and under) accompanied by a ticketed adult and open Friday-Sunday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  8. Accessible parking is available at University Ridge Golf Course. Please make sure you have a state issued disability hangtag visible upon entering the general parking gate. Golf carts will be available to shuttle patrons to the main ticket entrance and designated holes with ADA accessible viewing.

    Accessible bleacher seating will be available at the 1st tee, 14th green and 18th green.

  9. UW Health First Aid Stations will be located next to the 2nd tee and the 14th green.
  10. 3-day, 54-hole stroke play event with no cut.
  11. The University Ridge Portion of the Ice Age Trail will be closed June 1-7, 2020. Please visit the Ice Age Trail Alliance website for a map of alternate routes.
  12. If inclement weather is approaching, a “Weather Warning” notification will be posted on all electronic scoreboards on the course. When this message appears, spectators are advised to take immediate precaution by evacuating bleachers and hospitality tents. In the event of “Severe Weather” warning and a suspension of play, please proceed to the bus loading area to be returned to your car for safety. A suspension of play is preceded by an air horn signal. Suspension of play is a stoppage of play, not necessarily a cancellation of play for the day. Notification of continuation of play will be given in each parking lot.

    In the event of a weather warning, please avoid:

    • Hilltops
    • High places
    • Isolated trees
    • Golf carts
    • Wire fences
    • Open areas

    If play is suspended please close your umbrella and seek shelter immediately.

  13. Thanks to Culver’s, kids 17 and under are admitted FREE to the tournament when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Please select the Culver’s Youth General Admission Ticket before checking out if you purchase tickets online.
  14. Merchandise such as hats, shirts, jackets, flags and accessories bearing the American Family Insurance Championship logo can be purchased through the University Book Store. University Book Store will also have a merchandise tent at the main entrance to the tournament.
  15. Complimentary tickets are available to active duty, reserve, retired military members and all veterans. 2020 American Family Insurance Championship Military Tickets are available now. Redeem your three day pass.
  16. The American Family Insurance Championship will offer free general admission parking for all patrons. Please follow signage for general parking and designated lots. VIPs, volunteers and event staff must present hang tags or credentials to gain access to permit lots. Please see our parking FAQ for more information.
  17. Pairings guides will be available to all patrons free of cost detailing tee time and starting location of each player. Pairings will be posted electronically in a news release at the end of each tournament day.
  18. The following items are NOT permitted at the American Family Insurance Championship:

    • No noise-producing electronic devices
    • No cameras
    • No bags or backpacks larger than 8″W x 8″H x 8″D in its natural state
    • No cases and/or covers (such as chair or umbrella covers)
    • No signs, posters and/or banners
    • No televisions and/or radios
    • No food and/or beverage
    • No containers and/or coolers
    • No pets (other than service animals)
    • No bicycles on course
    • No ladders
    • No metal-spiked golf shoes
    • No weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms and knives)

    Any other items deemed unlawful or dangerous by the PGA TOUR Champions and/or Tournament Security Personnel is their sole discretion. Parents with small children are allowed to bring strollers and diaper bags, if needed. These items are subject to reasonable inspection before entering and/or at any time during the tournament.

  19. If it rains on any day of the tournament, play will continue as long as it is deemed safe to do so. All Corporate Hospitality will be open every day rain or shine. The PGA TOUR Champions and the tournament staff will always keep spectators informed at the earliest possible moment of any changes made on this policy based upon situational circumstances.
  20. Restrooms will be located at the main entrance, Pavilion, 2nd tee, 14th green, 17th green and 18th green.
  21. Will Call will be located at the Main Admission Gate. Will Call will be a secure way to leave tickets for use by someone else. Photo ID will be required at Will Call to pick up tickets.

Media FAQs

  1. A daily sticker is required. Please see a PGA TOUR Champions Representative in the Media Center or contact a member of the media relations team for assistance.
  2. For PGA TOUR Champions-approved images, visit Images will be available each day. Or contact a member of the Media Relations team for assistance.
  3. The Media Center, located in the UW golf team training facility, provides seating and workspace for media. The Media Center will offer high-speed internet access, a large digital leader board and two large televisions showing live telecasts of the tournament. Computer leaderboards with real-time scores will also be located throughout the center.
  4. Media dining is located in the media work area. Meals will be available for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
  5. Due to construction and fan volume please give yourself extra time to get to the course. Those with parking passes for the media lot should follow the signs entering University Ridge to Lot M. Staff will be on site to help direct you if needed. Shuttles will be provided for those needing assistance or those with heavy equipment.
  6. All credential-holding media will receive player interview transcripts via this page. Hard copies will also be available in the Media Center.

Parking FAQs

  1. Free public parking will be at off-site locations Friday-Sunday. Fans will be shuttled free to the championship’s front entrance. Electronic signs will provide directions.

  2. Yes. Free parking will be available at University Ridge Golf Course for all S-Pass holders and anyone with a state issued hangtag. Spectators should show their hangtag at the front gate to gain access to this designated parking area.

  3. Yes. Ride Share (Uber/Lyft/taxi) will drop off/pick up at an offsite location Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All ride share guests will then take a complimentary shuttle to the golf course main entrance.

  4. Yes. The American Family Insurance Championship will have bicycle parking conveniently located across from the lower lot near the main entry gate for the tournament.
  5. Please allow additional time to travel to designated parking lots and University Ridge Golf Course. Roadway and structure construction on Raymond Road, CTH M, CTH PD, Midtown Road and additional side roads will continue throughout the summer. Thank you for your patience.

    There will be no parking and pedestrian traffic allowed on County Highway PD (McKee Rd.) or County Highway M due to construction and anticipated heavy vehicle and bus traffic. All spectators are instructed to follow electronic signs to the public parking lots or take advantage of Rideshare services.
