Born and raised in Denver, CO, I’ve been a life-long supporter of the community in which my office is located.
Not only did I attend Thomas Jefferson High School, but all 5 of my children have been fellow Spartans as well.
I’ve been married to my wife Shawna for over 25 years and we are proud parents to 4 boys and 1 girl. I spent many years as a youth sports coach and was able to see my children grown into successful adults and they have since given me 11 beautiful grandchildren.
My family has always been avid skiiers, supporters of local sporting events, and we enjoy long drives with our camper to explore the country. I also have a great love for the 3 B’s, my boys, baseball and the bees I keep.
Graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 1979 with a degree in MIne Engineering. Immediately went to work in an underground uranium mine near Denver. Worked Underground gold mines in Empire Colorado, and an open pit gold mine in Elko Nevada. Also worked on Coal mines in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Montana as well as a Copper mine in Chile. My engineering carrier ended when my family need me to be at home. Insurance has given me the opportunity to help my family as well as yours.
I am a beekeeper and watch how these insects work hard daily to produce one ounce of honey. We can all learn from their selfless activity. They literally work themselves to death sacrificing themself to get a little pollen and nectar we take for granted.
I also love camping in our 25 foot camper and have taken it on long trips to Branson, Glacier National Park, Banff, Arches, and Yellowstone. We also have taken it to see my son and his family who live in Wisconsin. Almost weekly we take short trips to the many state parks in Colorado including Rocky Mtn State Park, Mueller.
I am a baseball and football fan and enjoy watching the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos too.
Have received the AFLIC award for excellence in protecting my customers through life insurance and have been consistently recognized with the American Star certification for providing a superior customer experience.
I’ve been an active member at Mission Hills church for the last 18 years and an active member of Gideons International for the last 20 years where I’m honored to have been elected as current President of the local camp of the Gideons.
After graduating from the Colorado School of Mines, I spent 20 years as an Engineer in the Mining Industry.
