Jason has an outgoing personality and loves getting to know people. If someone were to describe Jason, they might say he has a heart to serve and a desire to make a difference. Jason became an insurance agent with American Family as a way to help people. He and his family are passionate leaders in their community and believe their customers should come first.

Jason Gellett is a retired law enforcement officer from Spearfish, South Dakota. He served the City of Spearfish for 12 years as a patrol officer and school resource officer. In addition, Jason was a DARE officer, an ALICE instructor, and a coordinator for the Northern Hills Freshman Impact organization. In 2023, Jason became an insurance agent with American Family.

Jason’s hobbies and interests include his family, playing sports, attending church, woodworking, and spending time outside. Jason is an active outdoorsman, and his favorite pastime is fishing.

In 2012 Jason was recognized as the top trainee of the South Dakota DARE academy. In 2014 Jason received the police officer of the year award from the Spearfish Police Department.
