How do I file an auto insurance claim?
The fastest way to get your claim filed and in the hands of our experienced claims professionals is to use the MyAmFam app. You can file a claim anytime, anywhere, and you can track your claim’s status right from the app. Another way to file your auto insurance claim is by logging in to My Account or by calling 1-800-MYAMFAM (1-800-692-6326) to speak to a representative.
What do I need to file an auto insurance claim?
To file an auto insurance claim, you’ll want to have the following information on hand:
- The date and time of the event.
- A brief description of what happened.
- Any photos of damage done to your vehicle or property.
- The insurance and contact information of any others involved.
And if you file an auto insurance claim with the MyAmFam app or My Account you can also:
- Upload photos of the damage to your vehicle.
- Find a repair shop.
- Rent a car while yours is in the shop.
What should I expect after I file an auto insurance claim?
After your claim is filed, the review process will begin to assess the damage. You’ll want to provide copies of the police report, photos of the damage and any other official records related to the accident. You will receive further communication as your claim progresses. If additional information is needed from you, we will reach out to you directly.

We accept electronic bills (e-Bills) and attachments from healthcare providers and their billing assignees and invite you to take advantage of this service by contacting our e-Bill agent, Jopari Solutions. You may sign up using the online enrollment form at www.jopari.com, or contact the Jopari Provider Registration Call Center toll-free at 866-269-0554.
