Why Do I Need Vehicle Repair Insurance?
Vehicle repairs are expensive, and even maintenance can be costly. If you drive a vehicle with quite a few miles on it, you may be looking at paying hundreds, or even thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket repair costs. With ForeverCar mechanical breakdown insurance, you pay a small deductible of your choosing — up to $250 — and we take care of the rest.
Through our partnership with ForeverCar, you’ll get a fast, straightforward repair experience at the shop of your choice — and with no long-term contracts. It’s great coverage to help prepare for the unexpected. And you’ll find the peace of mind on the road knowing that your car will be taken care of if something happens.
What’s the difference between a vehicle service plan and an extended warranty?
ForeverCar’s vehicle service plan can provide greater protections and peace of mind than typical manufacturer or extended warranties as the coverage adapts to your needs over time. For example, if you purchase the plan while your car is still under warranty, you fall under the vehicle care benefit level that covers some maintenance items like brake pads, wiper blades, and light bulbs.
After your manufacturer's warranty ends, the coverage shifts to the Platinum level — a more comprehensive benefit with similar coverage to your manufacturer's warranty. Once your vehicle reaches 105,001 miles the coverage then transitions to the Powertrain level which focuses benefits on the parts that are essential to the movement and operation of the vehicle.
Car service plans like those provided by ForeverCar offer comprehensive parts and labor coverage in the event of an unexpected breakdown. The contract covers all repair costs after a small deductible is met. Sounds pretty good, right? In addition, during the Platinum and Powertrain coverage levels, vehicle service plans include alternative transportation reimbursement — repayment for your rideshare, public transit or rental car — so get back to normal while your ride is in the shop.
Typical manufacturer warranties limit coverage to specific auto parts. They call the shots on labor and how repairs are scheduled — all of which make warranties less-than-comprehensive. Additionally, a manufacturer warranty expires after a limited amount of time or miles — but ForeverCar’s vehicle service plan lasts all the way to 225,000 miles, or until your subscription ends.

What Is Covered in a ForeverCar Subscription?
Think of a ForeverCar subscription as a car repair insurance program that protects you at any stage of your vehicle ownership experience up to 225,000 miles. This comes with the additional benefit of rental car reimbursement — up to $40 a day — while your car is in the shop.
Let’s examine the coverage levels a bit closer:
Vehicle Care coverage: Still under manufacturer’s warranty
When does this great coverage kick in? After a 30-day waiting period.
This coverage is in place while your car is still under manufacturer’s warranty. Vehicle Care includes some parts that wear out, like brake pads, headlamps, belts and hoses and windshield wiper blades.
Platinum Coverage: After manufacturer's warranty expires to 105,000 miles
You’ll have coverage for items that are excluded from most powertrain warranties with platinum coverage. From the belts to the hoses, this powerful protection can really help you save. Coverage is active after your manufacturer warranty expires — all the way up to 105,000 miles. And platinum-level coverage includes any mechanical breakdown except listed exclusions in your vehicle service agreement.
Powertrain Coverage: 105,001 to 225,000 miles
In simple terms, powertrain covers the parts of a car that provide power and get it from 105,001 miles until you reach 225,000 miles, at which time your coverage will end. Engines, transmissions and drive axle components can all be eligible for vehicle service plan coverage. This coverage is available for cars with mileage between 105,001 to 225,000 miles.
What is a ForeverCar Subscription and How Much Does It Cost?
You’ll typically pay a fixed monthly payment from $45 to $75 that you may subscribe to until coverage ends at 225,000 odometer miles. Your monthly payment will depend on coverage options, make, model, year and mileage. Your subscription comes with a wide range of coverages that you can customize to meet your needs, including your deductible. Your deductible is your choice with simple, affordable options of $100 and $250.
